Silvery-Cheeked Hornbill

Hornbill females “wall themselves in” while incubating their eggs and only leave a small opening through which the male can provide them with food, and they remains like this until the chicks are fully fledged. She uses clumps of soil mixed with saliva as the “cement and mortar”.
