Whether it’s a birthday, wedding, company event or family party, you can celebrate with VIP animal guests at Zoo Berlin. Choose from the following venues for an unforgettable event in a very special atmosphere.

Hippo House

Celebrate your event amidst a watery African landscape! Dining under the glass dome of the Hippo House, you and your guests can watch the enormous pachyderms perform their weightless underwater ballet through large panoramic windows. The backdrop of an African savannah watering hole lends any occasion a unique charm.

Group size
The Hippo House can accommodate up to 150 people (incl. round gala event tables).
Times
The Hippo House closes to Zoo visitors at 6 p.m. Preparations for your event can begin after this time. The event can start from 7.15 p.m.
Price
€ 650 per hour (or part thereof)
after 11 p.m.: € 1,300 per hour (or part thereof)
Setting up and packing up times of max. 1.5 hours either end are free of charge; rental price does not include catering costs.

Aquarium Berlin

Turn your event into an unforgettable experience for all by holding it in the colourful underwater world of the Aquarium. Dining is a truly unique experience when you’re surrounded by fascinating sharks, mystical jellyfish and cute seahorses. And the impressive historic building in the heart of Berlin lends the evening a special charm.

Group size
The Aquarium can accommodate up to 120 people at round gala event tables. With high tables it can accommodate events with up to 300 people.
Times
The Aquarium closes to visitors at 6 p.m. Preparations for your event can begin after this time. The event can start from 7.15 p.m. Events at the Aquarium must end by 1 a.m. at the latest.

Celebrating responsibly

Naturally, special conditions apply to events at Zoo Berlin (especially with regard to noise levels) so that the welfare of our animals is never at risk. Every event is therefore closely supervised by Zoo staff.

Zoo Restaurant

With its large interior and idyllic lakeside terrace, the Zoo Restaurant provides an ideal venue for events of all kinds. There is space for 200 guests inside and up to 2.500 outside. The separate Lichtensteinsaal function room with its own terrace is perfect for smaller events. The menu ranges from Berlin specialities to international delicacies.

Summer sun and cool drinks – at the warmest time of year, there’s nothing better than moving the festivities outside. How about a family get-together, company event or birthday party in the middle of Zoo Berlin?

Waldschänke

The Waldschänke restaurant is idyllically situated under the Zoo’s tall old trees. With a charming rustic interior and shady terraces, it offers a venue for any occasion from March to November. The Waldschänke can accommodate around 50 guests inside and up to 150 outside. The range of food and drink on offer can be organised according to your individual requirements.
