At Zoo Berlin, visitors don’t only encounter wild animals, they can also enjoy good food. The Zoo has a range of tempting eateries offering elegant dining, a hearty meal, or a quick snack to keep you going as you explore.


The large Zoo-Talia restaurant offers a variety of Mediterranean dishes in stylish surroundings. You can look forward to focaccia, fresh antipasti, tasty handmade pasta, and stone-baked pizza.

If you fancy something sweeter, Zoo-Talia also has a selection of homemade cakes and pastries, fruit salads, and speciality coffees.

In the summer, you can enjoy wonderful views from our large terrace.

Restaurant Waldschänke

Waldschänke offers traditional fare and friendly hospitality in rustic surroundings.

With its high-quality regional specialties, it is the perfect family restaurant. It offers a kids’ menu and a wide range of freshly prepared dishes from healthy salads to hearty meals, from homemade sweet treats to tempting soup creations. It also has a selection of cakes.

In the summertime, the restaurant’s large terrace and convenient location next to the playground make it particularly appealing.

Aquarium café

The Aquarium café offers a range of tasty and healthy poke bowls – a culinary trend that fuses the best of Hawaiian and Japanese cuisine. You can choose from a selection of fresh homemade toppings to create your own bowl. The café also offers hot dogs and pretzels as well as a wide range of cakes, waffles, ice cream and speciality coffees.

Waldschänke ice cream parlour

If you fancy something sweet at the weekend, drop by the ice cream parlour next to the Waldschänke for freshly made bubble waffles filled with soft-scoop ice cream and topped with fruit, sweets, chocolate and more. You can also enjoy iced coffee, iced chocolate, milkshakes and freshly brewed coffee.

Kolibri café

This cosy, colourful café in the World of Birds is the perfect place to linger over crispy Mediterranean flatbreads, sweet pastries, and aromatic speciality coffees.


Close to Zoo-Talia, Candy-Bar tempts visitors of all ages with its freshly made waffles, yoghurt with various toppings, huge candy canes, fun gummy animals, homemade fizzy drinks, and soft-scoop ice cream.


There are also several small snack bars* throughout the Zoo offering a range of tempting treats including donuts, ice cream, sausages and fries. Enjoy!
