Mum Bibi continues to provide lots of loving care to her little daughter, never letting her out of her sight. Meanwhile, Tilla is becoming more independent and is keen to start exploring her surroundings on her own.

The Western lowland gorilla is a critically endangered species. As ambassadors for their species, Tilla and her family are helping raise awareness of these remarkable animals and the threat to their survival.

With dwindling biodiversity, the basis of all life on Earth is being lost. Our species conservation programme Berlin World Wild is encouraging schoolchildren from Berlin and Brandenburg in years 3 to 9 to present their own creative ideas for preserving biodiversity. The best entries will be awarded our Biodiversity Prize.
