Parma wallaby joey pops out to say g’day

From the safety of its mother’s pouch, our baby parma wallaby sticks out its nose to get a glimpse of the world.

Did you know? After birth, the joey climbs into its mother’s pouch all by itself, where it then feeds on the milk from her teats in warmth and safety. The young parma wallaby spends the next 30 weeks of its life here until it becomes more independent and can start hopping around.
