Our newest Visayan spotted deer came into the world in late September, and the female fawn has been enchanting Zoo Berlin visitors ever since!
Originally native to the Visayan Islands of the Philippines, this deer species is now one of the rarest in the world. Ever-expanding human populations have resulted in great swathes of woodland being cleared, seriously threatening the deer’s natural environment.
