We made special ice-cold treats for our coatis – as a cooling refreshment and a welcome gift.

Sisters Abba, Mali and Hyper moved to Berlin from Zoo Leipzig at the end of May. Since then, the three females have been happily living alongside our male coati Kahlo.

With their slender, flexible noses, the animals were able to quickly track down the delicious ice blocks containing insects and fruit. Using their powerful claws, they then skilfully broke into the ice and quickly devoured the treats.
