Teacher training at Zoo Berlin
Zoo Berlin’s Zoo School provides an outdoor learning environment set amidst fascinating creatures from all over the world.
The Zoo School tours are designed like lessons and are based on the Berlin school curriculum. The Zoo School introduces children to many exhibits and live animals. The hands-on tours allow schoolchildren to learn about themes relating to their biology studies, but also to gain social and emotional competencies. In this fun, practice-oriented educational environment, children are better able to absorb and retain scientific knowledge. The teacher training courses give participants a comprehensive overview of what the Zoo School offers, allowing teachers to visit various parts of Zoo Berlin and gain an impression of the tours for schoolchildren.
If you are an educator interested in joining a teacher training course as an individual participant, you can sign up for one of our open events. This year they are being held on 12 June and 18 September.
Please submit your participation request to firstname.lastname@example.org at least eight days prior to your chosen date.
The tour and admission are free of charge for all course participants. Those who would like to stay in the Zoo after the tour has ended can purchase a day ticket.
The training course lasts around 1.5 hours.
