Dear annual pass holders,
Of course, the health situation of our many feathered animals is our full attention these days. We have introduced extensive measures and make regular tests to prevent the bird flu from spreading further. The situation is also challenging emotionally for everyone involved, as it is about the survival of our birds in the end. Nevertheless, we are of course working on a solution for our many loyal annual pass holders who are not able to visit the Zoo currently. At this point we would like to thank you for your understanding and patience. Below you will find the possible options for how we can proceed with your pass:
Option 1: Supporting the Zoo
After the difficult pandemic years and the problem of the explosive increase in energy costs, the unforeseen closure is also having a significant financial impact on our Zoo. We are all the more dependent on support of any kind. After all, we don't want to have to make any compromises when it comes to modernizing and further developing our animal habitats. Therefore, we must and would like to offer you the opportunity to fully support us with your affected annual pass and to refrain from compensation. If you choose this option, we would already like to thank you very, very much!
Option 2: Use at the Tierpark
Alternatively, we would like to offer you the opportunity to use your annual pass at Tierpark Berlin during the closing time of the Zoo. The Tierpark is open regularly – you can find more information here: www.tierpark-berlin.de/en
Option 3: Extension of validity
Of course, there is also the option of extending the validity of your annual pass by the time the Zoo is closed (for combined annual passes proportionate). If you choose this option, we will get back to you with all the details at a later date.
Please select one of the options mentioned and let us know, together with your printed annual pass ID, at ticket@zoo-berlin.de and by the end oft he Zoo’s closing period at the latest. Please note that it is unfortunately not possible to revoke the decision you have feedbacked us. Attention: If you have decided on option 3 and then take advantage of the offer of visits to the Tierpark (option 2), your right to an extension of validity expires immediately. This also applies to family annual passes if only one person uses the Tierpark offer.
