A bundle of joy and energy

For a few weeks now, a fluffy mini-mongoose has been zipping around the narrow-striped mongoose habitat.

The pup was born to mum Adele and dad Gilbert on 14 October and has been developing rapidly. The pups are born with fur, their eyes open four days after birth, and their first teeth come in after just eight days. Did you know that narrow-striped mongooses use their soft, bushy tails as a blanket when sleeping? The tails are also long, helping the mongooses to balance. See for yourself in the video!
