A proper introduction to Berlin’s future panda bears.

We can finally reveal the names of the two young pandas that will arrive at Zoo Berlin this June: the female goes by Meng Meng and the male is Jiao Qing. If the bears live up to their names, they will be a lucky charm for Zoo Berlin. “Meng Meng” means “sweet dream” and “Jiao Qing” can be translated as “darling”. Following a period of quarantine after their arrival, the lovingly named panda pair will be on display to the public from this July.
