How to reach us

Site plan

Zoo Berlin is very easy to reach, lying as it does directly at the station named after it and therefore only two minutes from two underground and diverse suburban railway stops.

You are therefore best leaving your car where it is and going to the zoo by eco-friendly suburban railway, underground, bus, or train.

Suburban railway

  • Zoologischer Garten (S5 + S7 + S75 + S9 )

Underground

  • Zoologischer Garten (U2 + U12 + U9)
  • Kurfürstendamm (U9 + U15)

Bus

  • About fifteen bus routes
  • Express bus to the airport
  • Diverse night bus routes

 Train

  • Local railway (RE1 + RE2 + RE3 + RE4 + RE5)
  • Mainline railway

 Car

There are many way to reach the zoo by car. You can choose your best route with a route planner.

Zoologischer Garten Station is well signposted – these signs take you to Hardenbergplatz where you will find car parks and the Lion Gate entrance.

You can find fee-based car parks around the zoo’s perimeter, but they are rarely unoccupied, especially on Hardenbergplatz, where there is frequent traffic congestion to and from the station.
So be a little more patient when looking for a parking space, or use one of the fee-based multistorey car parks on:

  • Nürnberger Straße (two minutes from the Elephant Gate entrance and Aquarium)
  • Budapester Straße (two minutes from the Elephant Gate entrance and Aquarium, five minutes from the Lion Gate)
